KASAPA Centre

KASAPA Centre is a small, village-like holiday resort about 40 km west of Ghana's capital Accra (google map). It has taken up and further developed traditional African modes of building, combining them with modern Eco-friendly technology (solar electricity, bio-dynamic sewage system, modern hygienic compost toilets).

The 2,5 ha plot borders directly on the steep Atlantic coast. It is about a 15 minute walk to the fishing community of Nyanyano and one can reach Accra by public transport or with the KASAPA-owned bus.

Some of the staff members live at the KASAPA Centre. The KASAPA project is well integrated into the communal life of Nyanyano.

Accomodation:

The KASAPA Centre houses are built to match the African climate (plastered clay-buildings with clay ceilings and thatched roofs) and therefore don't need air-conditioning. There are six round guest chalets, each with two (single or double/twin bedded) rooms and a spacious roofed veranda. You will also find a very large summer-hut (serving as restaurant and main meeting place), shady open-air locations facing the sea, and roofed lavatory facilities.

Board:

KASAPA Centre's well trained "kitchen crew" provides half-board for you - a generous breakfast and dinner in the evening with African and continental dishes in turn and always with some fruit for dessert. Vegetarians and guests with special diets are also well cared for. For lunch, the kitchen sells various tasty snacks and fruits (and, of course, drinks).
